“It’s not like you just dive in head-first. There’s a process to getting yourself acclimated with
Clubhouse... People who are not so fond of public speaking get to speak without actually facing an in-person crowd.” —Caryn Parchment
If home is where the heart is, then Caryn Parchment is definitely home!

Caryn has been helping the local community to buy, rent, sell, or invest in property within the
Greater Toronto Area for 15 years.

After taking the initiative to change her narrative and complete her Real Estate Licence,
Caryn’s dream was delayed by Covid-19.

Though she had doubts about her journey and end-goal, her perseverance is a lesson learned
— she is now a fully licensed realtor.

When she isn’t finding dream deals for her clients, Caryn is a speaker and co-moderator on
social media platform Clubhouse — an audio-based networking app that provides
opportunities for people to speak or listen to other experts in themed rooms.

On this episode of StrategizeYour Business Online, Caryn takes us on her entrepreneurial
journey and leverages the benefits of using Clubhouse to build your network, leads, and
following by strategically navigating the platform.

Clubhouse’s tiered system provides a process for you to engage, practice public speaking
without the in-person crowd, and co-moderate rooms so you can be seen and grow your
Clubhouse following...

...only when you’re ready! If you would rather just listen, that’s completely fine too! Even if
you’re a complete beginner, Caryn has you covered with so many tips and tricks — join us on
the episode for more!

In this episode, you’ll discover:
  • The Clubhouse feature that lets speakers know you’re new to the platform — in case you’re not ready to step onto the stage!
  • Why you should only follow people with similar interests on Clubhouse, and not everyone you know, so you only see the topics you want to explore
  • How to leverage your business using your Clubhouse bio by listing the values and services you provide
Subscribe to the podcast for more tips on leveraging your business online (and don’t forget --

“We’re pretty good at judging ourselves and doubting ourselves as women and mothers, and
the mindset game is taking that mean girl in the background out of our heads... and dispelling
some of those myths that we build up about ourselves.” —Chernell Bartholomew
Habit change, consistency, and accountability are terms that you use regularly in your
business strategy. But when was the last time you applied these terms to yourself?

With over 15 years’ experience in the health and wellness industry, Chernell Bartholomew is
the owner of Vitality MVMT and a certified energy and health coach, personal trainer, and
massage therapist.

After battling fatigue and struggling to maintain a healthy body and mindset when she became
a mom to three beautiful girls, Chernell decided it was time to challenge and change the
narrative when it came to unhealthy social and fitness standards.

Embracing all body shapes and sizes — one size does not fit all! — she created the Vitality
MVMT to provide a ‘wholistic’ coaching approach catered to each individual woman and mom
she helps.

Chernell joins me on this episode of StrategizeYour Business online to share how the
connection between mindset and physical wellness is your blueprint to a healthier mindset,
life, and business.

For easy, doable, and actionable tips to create daily habits that stick, listen to the episode!

In this episode, you’ll discover:
  • Misconceptions about working with a health and energy coach — there are no
  • restrictions, only flexible (and fun) solutions that work around you and your needs!
  • Why sleep is just as important as nutrition and exercise, and integral to your energy

“Do you ever find that those who are reaching out to you are not your ideal client…? If this is happening to you, then it’s probably because your message was not clear in your marketing.” —Dee Boswell-Buck
Nobody knows your business like you…

…but if you don’t clearly convey who you are, what you offer, and who you serve online, how can you find dream clients and grow your audience?

When I started my business, I booked consultations with potential clients only to find that there was often a disconnect between the services they expected and what I offered.

I knew my business better than anyone, but I also knew that I needed to be clearer in communicating my marketing message online to reach my target audience.

EPISODE 17: A Young Survivor In Business While In Lockdown During A Pandemic

8/31/2021

Picture
“Do you want to work for a company and be a number, or do you want to go out and be your own boss, do your own thing, and do what you love?” —Sabrina Leeder
Whether you’re working your side-hustle or running your own business, you know that you don’t have to be a number — an unappreciated cog in the corporate machine — to make big numbers…

…but you do have to take a big risk and put in the work.

Sabrina Leeder is the Toronto-based founder of BiA Photography and a photographer for the Hockey Hall of Fame.

A strong believer that art should be enjoyed by all, she is the Artist in Residence and owner of Preston Gallery in Uxbridge, Ontario — an accessible space for Canadian artists at any career level to showcase their work.

Sabrina knew the journey wouldn’t be easy when she took her father’s advice and decided not to be a number, but she didn’t anticipate that she would be forced to completely overhaul her brick-and-mortar business to an online shop when Covid-19 put our lives on lockdown.
Sabrina’s passion for art and belief in herself took her from pop-up to permanent photography gallery, but it was her social media strategy that grew her business — from showcasing a couple of local artists to hosting over 50 names!

She met the challenges of changing every aspect of her business to not only survive, but thrive — with in-person shows, expansion to new regional spaces, and online and in-person classes planned.
Join us on this episode of Strategize Your Business Online, as Sabrina shares her story — a powerful reminder about the resilience we all must face as entrepreneurs — and the power of social media strategy to succeed even when the odds are stacked against you.

In this episode, you’ll discover:
  • How to get get creative with video content that serves a variety of audiences
  • Why you should automate your brick-and-mortar business to operate fully online as a back-up system to prepare for unforeseen obstacles
  • That you can still support and serve your local community — suppliers, customers, and small businesses — while catering to online clients
I’d love for you to rate and review the podcast — and make sure you’re subscribed for more ways to strategize your business online!
