“When it came to self-confidence, I realized that I was lacking in that area — when I interacted with the horses, I felt so empowered being with them… my vision was to invite other women to come and experience what I did.” —Gabriella Vamvakidis.
When was the last time you felt truly peaceful, grounded, and connected to yourself? I bet you were offline.
As business owners, we rely on online spaces to support every aspect of our work. But spending so much time scrolling through feeds and updating our profiles means we often forget the therapeutic benefits outdoor spaces, animals, and nature provide. I’m joined on this episode by Copperwood Trail owner Gabriella Vamvakidis, who built her business to provide a safe space for people to reconnect with themselves by experiencing the healing power of horses. Gabriella did not expect to fall in love with horses — let alone build a business around them with no model — but her journey as a business owner is full of relatable touchstones. When she moved with her family to a rural property in Stouffville, Ontario, she didn’t have any interest in her husband’s horses for two years. Until fate stepped in — the day she was left to care for the horses was the day everything changed. The support, peace, and empowerment Gabriella felt from the animals inspired her to share that magical and therapeutic experience — specifically to inspire confidence in other women. From hosting women’s wellness retreats to expanding her program to family experiences and first responder therapy, Gabriella’s story shows that wellbeing and mindfulness are just as important as success. After you’ve listened to the episode, I hope that you’re inspired to step offline and go outside (at least for a little while)! In this episode, you’ll discover:

“It’s always great to have a place, one spot, where you have all your information and it’s categorized, so that when you need to find it, it’s easier to find.”
—Arlene Williams
Do you dream of running a clutter-free home and business, but keep getting lost in the mess?
Clutter causes stress. As entrepreneurs, we are constantly juggling clients, paperwork, and life. Despite best efforts, when our systems lose structure, the clutter can easily become overwhelming. Making your spaces and systems clutter-free brings inner calm, efficiency, and increased productivity, so you have more time for what really matters. But how do you clean up your clutter without falling into the same mistakes again? By developing consistent and manageable organizational strategies for your home and business — and peace of mind. My guest on this episode of Strategize Your Business Online is professional organizer and owner of Bona Fide Organizing, Arlene Williams. Arlene leveraged her organizational skills to build a company that uses creative systems to bring efficiency and functionality to businesses. A passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing, Arlene helps individuals limit the stress that clutter causes so they can focus on living and working in a peaceful, productive, and organized environment. Full disclosure: I was absolutely this individual -- I hired Arlene to hold me accountable and help to clean up my clutter, and I have never looked back! Here’s one of the crucial things I’ve learned: integrating consistent and simple structures into your routine allows you to create productive habits and focus on pushing your (super organized!) business forward — while also making sure you’re looking after your mental health and wellbeing. For more professional organization advice from Arlene that you can start implementing today, press play! “The pandemic is bleak and a scary situation, but I hope I inspired you by sharing ways that you can focus and strategize your business so you can push forward, book you dream clients and be more profitable.” - Dee Boswell-Buck
If you are sick and tired of hearing about resilience during the pandemic, then this episode may not be for you.
But if you want to learn how I went from losing nearly all of my clients and having no leads to a full client roster and speaking opportunities within6 months.... then sit tight for a dose of inspiration! Seeing so many businesses move online due to lockdown, with no strategy and inconsistent content, helped me to both focus my offerings and create clear, targeted, and consistent content. I utilized my time by investing in knowledge and skills to add credibility to my business, consistently showed up on social media, and created online content that helped my audience by aligning with their values and focusing on their long-term needs and short-term goals. In less than two months, this process of rinse and repeat led to a steady stream of inquiries. In this episode I share my journey through the pandemic step by step, and reveal how I strategized my business online in order to push the needle, increase my visibility, and connect with new clients. It wasn't a smooth ride. It was filled with lessons. But I think it will leave you inspired. In this episode, you’ll discover:
