Oh 🤬!! I’ve been hacked!”
If you’ve uttered these words you know just how distressing this experience can be. Don’t panic... DON'T get desperate. … Because that’s what the hackers are counting on. If you find that your account has been compromised or worse yet you’ve been locked out completely, and the hacker is demanding you pay to have it restored to you, DON’T fall for it. This is a scam and they don’t have any intention of returning your account to you. Negotiating and paying just incentivizes them to keep hacking. Once they get your money they’ll just move on to their next target. And be wary of people who offer to recover your account for a fee. This could be a scam too. So research... research... research. If you’ve been hacked, be sure to change ALL passwords across ALL of your social media to avoid further breaches. (Side note... This is why I don't use social media to log in to online retailers) Regarding your hacked account, let it go and start a new one... If you can't get it back it's not the end of the world. Though I get it... It will feel like it. ✔️ Remember to use two-factor authentication during setup. (I’ve got information on how to set this up on Instagram) and rest assured that there ARE ways to grow your account quickly. For instance, we’ve helped our clients do this via online events and newsletters. If you’re looking for a customized solution in this area, we’d love to help.
