Your Content is Great: Could You Be More Visible?
I’ve always geeked out a little about how LinkedIn isn’t just a social platform—it’s a powerful search engine. One that helps people find you when they’re looking for what you do best.
It’s not just a place to post content and collect connections. It feeds Google, and when optimized well for visibility --your LinkedIn profile can outrank your website in search results.
So it fascinates me that many entrepreneurs are still sleeping on the SEO potential of LinkedIn and social media in general. That curiosity led me somewhere new. Another search-based platform—YouTube.
I've been looking for an outlet to repurpose all the goodness from my LinkedIn Lives and creative storytelling through short form video and where it also would last longer than 24 hours. YouTube offers the perfect stage—not just to be seen, but to be found.
It's intriguing that so many people pour their heart into amazing video on the platform then wonder why no one’s watching. Basically: “post and hope.”
The truth? Visibility on YouTube takes strategy. I've discovered it looks like this:
Keyword research: What’s your audience actually searching for when they need solutions?
Tags and hashtags: They help categorize your content and get it in front of the right people.
Thumbnails: Yes, they matter. A scroll-stopping visual increases the chance of your video being clicked.
Titles and descriptions: Strategic wording = discoverability gold.
This spring and onwards, I’m getting back to more solo LinkedIn Lives—where I’ll walk you through the exact strategies that help you stand out and stay searchable. I'll also continue spotlighting brilliant women entrepreneurs, because when those conversations are repurposed correctly (yes—even to YouTube), they continue showing up for brand-new audiences thanks to SEO.
I’m all in on refining my LinkedIn strategies to YouTube. I'm enjoying creating short videos over there, researching the words that my future clients are searching and ensuring they're reflected in the titles and descriptions. #ProudNerdAlert.
In my first 20 days my YouTube analytics shared that I achieved 27 hours watch time (hooray me). I also snagged the opportunity to roll out beta testing on a client's channel.
Marketing isn’t about putting all your eggs in one algorithmic basket. It’s about creating sustainable, searchable content that works harder for your brand.
