We all want the Instagram algorithm to work in our favour and get our content in front of the right followers. We also know that strong engagement on our posts helps to rank our content in our audiences’ feed. But how do we boost engagement?
Here are three ways to boost engagement on your Instagram stories.
Add stickers: You want to make your IG stories as interactive as possible one of the best ways to do this is by using stickers. You can add IG stickers to take polls, ask open-ended questions, run multiple-choice quizzes, and more.
Be conversational: Avoid stilted formal language and talk to your audience like you would with people you know or would like to get to know. You’re not talking into an abyss, there are real people on the other side of that screen. Remember that when you’re creating your next story.
Be strategic in what you share: Who appreciates a good behind-the-scenes look at your favourite thing coming to life? I do! I’ve watched videos of elaborate cakes being baked and decorated, to artists giving a glimpse of their creative process. People love a finished product but they also appreciate seeing how you got there. Consider posting a look behind the scenes or a day-in-the-life IG story. It will spark curiosity and questions and inspire them to learn more.
