Can I just tell you how much I enjoy Canada Day? It's like the first official holiday for the summer and I always look forward to it. I used to treat it as a regular day off. You know... wish that a store was open, sleep in, find somewhere to hang out and grab a drink. This motherhood thing has really changed me. Now I make sure to scan the Canada Day celebration events listed online in the city of Toronto. Of course I always end up at Thompson Park in Scarborough where you can learn some Canadian history at The Scarborough Museum. Three weeks ahead of time I buy Canada Day tees for my husband, LB and I to wear. LB still wakes up pretty early, so what is wonderful about the Thompson Park event is that it starts at 10 am. I am pretty sure that we'll make it home by 1 pm and she'll go down for the count and grab a nap. If we time it right, we can get back out again and make it to the Canada Day Parade which starts at 4 pm. I hope you have a wonderful Canada Day! How will you be celebrating? ![]()
