“If you build it, they will come.” Remember that famous line from Field of Dreams? Inspirational? Yes, but it’s not always that easy. Sure, you can build a website, but that doesn’t guarantee people will flock to it.
A big part of getting traffic to your site is getting it ranked on Google via SEO (Search Engine Optimization) but if you’re not ranking as high as you’d like you’re going to need a boost. Here are three tips to help you rank higher. Audit your SEO An audit will help you see what’s working and what isn’t. I recommend an SEO audit tool, like Ubersuggest….these tools will score your website and offer recommendations to get your website to peak performance. Prioritize proofreading Spelling errors, typos, and poor grammar reflect poorly on your brand and affect your credibility, so invest in someone who will ensure your copy is error-free. Alternatively, you can use an online writing assistant. I’m a fan of Grammarly, which uses AI to review spelling, grammar, punctuation tone, etc. Fun fact, I used it while writing this post.😎 Utilize visuals According to marketing firm MDG, “articles with relevant images get 94% more views, on average, compared to articles without images.” That's huge, so go ahead and maximize images whenever possible! Plus they’re searchable on Google, so use them to increase your chances of coming up in searches. Are you interested in improving your website's SEO? We can help you with this. Facebook Likes help you to build great campaigns that help you to connect with an engaged audience. As you grow the number of Facebook likes it will also increase the amount of trust in your brand. Here is a screenshot of a Facebook Ad for a client that at $7.14 per day has earned 74 likes. Bonus... This Ad is targeted to her EXACT target audience! ![]() Have you ever used your time as a business ownwe to participate in Facebook Group ladders? This is when you share your Facebook page in a group, and HOPE that others will like your page. Then, you go ahead and like their Page. You HOPE to circle back (because you do have a business to run). When you return, you discover that you have over 200 pages to like. You also discover that not everyone reciprocated. Does this sound familiar? While you may add Likes to your business page, many the Likes may not be from those who could be a strong lead. There are many other ways that involve your precious time. This is where I urge you to Calculate your hourly rate as a business owner. In our example of client work, we created a Facebook Ad to show up in front of her target audience. So far it has a reach of over 2600. (The number of the right eyes who saw the Ad). Achieved 74 Likes. Each like costing 0.46¢! I share the numbers because often we are stuck on saving money. But when you do the math, using your time to play games to get the wrong eyes on your brand is ACTUALLY way more expensive. I love online ads that are used strategically. I also love explaining to business owners, how to honour and value their time. I Hope this explains the power of an ad for your business. Do you use Facebook Ads? |
