5 top excuses not to start my business

A glass of vino as I try to figure this out.
Ask anyone. I am
  • the most motivational
  • positive
  • a perfect cheerleader
But not necessarily for myself. As I write this post I am going through a a bit of self doubt which has allowed me to create excuses as to why I can't get my new new business off and running. Uhm.. Would you like to hear them? I am sharing this over a glass of wine, but I assure you I will am not drunk. If anything the wine maybe the reason why I am able to be straight with you.

  1. I am short for time. Ridiculous eh? My business will only grow if I make it a priority. There's crap on TV. . . So I watch maybe an hour a week. Wow! That's 1 - 2 hours a day!
  2. The market is saturated with people doing this now and they are better at it than me. My family and friends think I'm very unique. Oh! And so do I. I am not sure why I feel I would not be able to show that in my business. It's about how you share your insight and stories. Everyone appreciates a different perspective.
  3. I am not motivated. Sounds like an excuse not to exercise again. But once I begin to schedule my workouts in will become more fit. I cane can even get down to my goal weight within a set time frame. Looks here I just convinced myself how to get motivated. Apply what I just wrote to starting your business. (note to self... Schedule excerise)
  4. Who's going to read it? OK... I don't really have this issue. My Life is Social Media and anyone in this field will tell you that with the right platforms and content strategy for your business. . . You will be noticed.
  5. And my BIGGEST EXCUSE. I must do more research first. When I advise acquaintances and friends in business I share what I know and back it up with facts I I know and experiences. I am a self learner and I enroll myself in credible courses to keep up to date with what is is occurring in the industry. So the is one I really have to get over.
Now that I've shared my excuses I would like to work on a task and be consistent at it. I must blog twice a week and it will be content that my audience will find either engaging, helpful, entertaining or credible .

What are some of the excuses stopping you from starting? What task will you begin?

ps... This post was started with a glass of wine and ended with a cup of coffee. #FeelingPepped!
