Sometimes you have to take a moment. Life has been a little stressful the last couple of months. I do love what I do but this weekend I decided to take a little break.
Our daughter is about to turn 5. JK is over and we have realized that the age of 4 is a pretty cool age. LB has been showing some major independence. I have just been notified... By her that no longer am I allowed to number her lunch box snacks. She shall choose which one she will eat first. She now wants to wear the simple purple swim cap and not the yellow cute one that symbolized a hold fish. And she was once a fan of Splash n' Boots. Now 'they are for little kids", therefore she will not wear her Boots dress... I worked so hard to track one down. This new transition sometimes saddens me, but sad for me is short lived. I embrace change and I love the way she is changing. LB at times acts as my cheerleader... Without being asked. I dropped something and she said to me "It's ok. Sometimes you drop things. It's ok Mommy. You are the best Mom." She is also beginning to display signs of accountability. She says sorry and tries to correct her actions. This weekend we enjoyed family time over the Canada Day weekend. We saw a movie, went to a park, enjoyed a street festival and watched our first set of fireworks. She is almost 5 you know. Anyhoo, I just wanted to write about something other than social media marketing. They say the "Hustle Is Real". But I truly believe that life ain't all about the hustle. So when you feel like slowing down a bit. Go ahead... Smell the roses and enjoy the moment.
